Android's Google Search gets an upgrade

Set to boost app's speed and performance.

The search giant has fiddled around with its flagship Google Search app and polished it for users of its Android OS.

The upgrade has been developed for users of Android 2.2, 2.3 and 3.x to provide them with a similar experience to those with devices running its latest Ice Cream Sandwich OS.

The Google blog, said: "Hot on the heels of Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich, we’ve updated Google Search for previous versions of Android: it’s all around faster, to get what you need quickly."

Users can expect to receive a faster and smoother performance, simplified usability, personalised search suggestions and localised search results.

Love to see Google always making updates and fixes for their operating system. Definitely think searching via PC on Google is much more helpful compared to searching Google via your Android power smartphone, but these upgrades should make searching more efficient via mobile.
