Nielsen says Android maintained its lead in October, with iPhone at 28 per cent, BlackBerry at eight per cent, and Windows at seven per cent.
The total proportion of phone owners with smartphone in the US also stands at 43 per cent – just to confuse you – but among 25 to 35 year olds, the rate is 62 per cent.
Among users aged 12 to 17 years old or 45 to 54 years old, the rate is 40 per cent.
