Google's Android Market has doubled its catalogue in the last five months, taking it to more than 20,000 available apps.
That's according to figures from third-party site AndroLib, mind - Google hasn't officially confirmed the milestone yet.
According to the site, 62.2% of those apps are free, while only 37.8% are paid. Android Market started off only offering free apps, but this does mean that it now has more than 7,500 paid titles.
November saw a big spike in the number of apps and games released on the store: 3,544 according to AndroLib. December is on track to beat that though: in the first half of the month, nearly 2,000 apps have been released.
Momentum is undoubtedly building behind Google's smartphone OS, even if its catalogue is still just a fifth of the iPhone's.
