Claims Google's OS is getting better quality games.

Social gaming platform company Scoreloop says it is currently adding more than three million new users a month, with much of that growth coming from Android.

What's more, Scoreloop-registered players are submitting more than 18 million scores a week.

CEO Marc Gumpinger points to a steady flow of high-quality game launches on Android as key to this growth - many, but not all of them coming from iPhone.

"Many of the titles are cross platform and are bringing substantial growth to our community," says Gumpinger.

"We’re excited to be working with these developers and are committed to helping them receive the visibility and recognition they deserve."

Among the iOS titles to have made the leap are Off Center Software's Toobz, which has already generated more than 10 million downloads on the App Store alone.

"Android has suddenly become an interesting platform for game developers," says Off Center boss Jason Haslup.

Scoreloop has just launched its SDK 2.0 for Android, with news and cross-promotion features, player challenges and virtual currency, and integration with social networks - including Scoreloop's own Social Market.
