MouthOff iPhone developer wants to promote other people's apps.
iPhone developer ustwo wants to bring some festive cheer to the App Store community this Christmas. It's soliciting ads from other developers to be included in its Crazo Christmas application.
Not that it's calling them ads - instead they're 'APPvertisemART' - 186x190-pixel ads that'll be displayed in virtual gold frames within the app, providing links to App Store product pages.
"There is no catch. It’s Christmas and we want to help to highlight the best applications. We all struggle to sell apps so every little helps," says the ustwo website.
The company is predicting more than 200,000 downloads for Crazo, so it's certainly an opportunity - particularly as ustwo isn't charging for the space. Instead, it will choose the most "beautiful/creative and cool" entries to spotlight.
