Amdocs expects to process premium content transactions worth $1 billion in 2007.
If reached, the self-declared figure will be approximately 40 per cent up on 2006, with growth attributable to more people using mobile data services, higher priced content and stronger marketing efforts by content providers.In total, Amdocs says its Qpass digital commerce platform has processed more than $2.5 billion worth of premium digital products and services since 2003, representing over 900 million transactions.
Qpass customers include, T-Mobile International and Sprint.
In terms of recent trands, the average price per premium content transaction handled by Qpass has risen from $3.18 in January to $3.49 in June, while off-portal sales grew 15 per cent between June 2006 and June 2007.
