Ambient Industries raises cash for Flook expansion

Social location app also gets new Flickr and Twitter features.

We've been intrigued by iPhone app Flook since first clapping eyes on it at a Mobile Monday event last October.

It's a social location app where users upload virtual postcards of 'local secrets', for others to collect. It's the work of UK firm Ambient Industries, which has just raised a new funding round to continue developing the application.

Amadeus Capital Partners and Eden Ventures have chipped into the latest round, which may be close to $1 million.

Ambient Industries has also announced new features, including integration with Twitter and Flickr, allowing users to import their Flickr photos, and tweet new cards as they create them.

The company is also working on APIs for other services to hook into Flook, while also launching more web features - including a widget for users to embed on their own sites.
