Pocketgamer is reporting that Amazon's Android app shop has opened for business outside its US heartland.
Previously, overseas users could access the store but ot order unless they had a US address. Now they make an .apk download from Amazon, and set their Android phone to install content from unknown sources.
There's been no fanfare on the launch, but it seems international customers are reporting that they can now download premium titles and the free app of the day – although prices are quoted in US dollars.
Amazon hasn't commented, so either this is a soft test launch or a blunder.
