We have to take its word for it, as it's not saying exactly how many it shifted.
The latest generation Kindle was released in October at $259 and has begun shipping outside the US for the first time. This seems to have propelled November sales past all previous totals.
“Kindle is a great gift for anyone who loves to read and it’s flying off the shelves faster than any other product Amazon sells,” said Ian Freed, VP for Amazon Kindle.
“We’re seeing lots of people buying from one to a handful of Kindles as gifts for friends or family, as well as many businesses and other organizations buying Kindles in large quantities for their employees or customers.”
Kindle enables readers to wirelessly download content in over 100 countries and territories.
