Apple lays down the law to developers ahead of forthcoming OS release.
iPhone developers have been sent an email instructing them that Apple will no longer approve content created for version 2.0 of the device OS.
The Loop Blog (via the Register) reports that from now on all content needs to be 3.0 compatible in order to stand a chance of making it onto App Store.
Apple unveiled v3.0 of the iPhone OS at an event back in March, with availability expected this summer, along with new incarnations of hardware.
The update included new functionality such as MMS, subscription-based apps, cut and paste text and P2P Bluetooth.
