Aire reveals breath-based phone charging concept

Face mask charger to use mini wind turbines and generate electricity.

Industrial designer João Paulo Lammoglia has developed the Aire concept, a device that will allow phone users to charge their phone using their very own breath. Yes, actual human breath.

The charging device would use small wind turbines to convert breathing into electricity, so that any breathing act such as working out, sleeping, or hyperventilating over a new iPad would recharge a user's mobile.

Disappointingly though, Lammoglia told The Huffington Post that the technology doesn't exist at the moment, but he hopes it will inspire people to think outside of the box.

He went on to say: "I believe the concept is the most important because it gives another perspective about how to look at energy. I've always been concerned about environmental problems, so that's why I develop these concepts."

Lammoglia claims his inspiration came from came from seeing children blowing on windmill toys.

We recently reported another charging concept, which offers battery power without using cables.
