Admob surges past 3.5bn ads served a month

AdMob served 3.63bn ads in June – that’s 19.7 per cent more than it did in May.

Other highlights from the off-portal ad specialist’s June Mobile Metrics report include:

·    Impressions from the iPhone and iTouch are growing 32 per cent month over month worldwide to 52 million in June
·    24.3 per cent of ad requests in the AdMob network worldwide were from Smartphones, up from 22.4 per cent in May
·    Indonesian traffic more than doubled in June to 472 million requests and is now AdMob's second largest market. This was driven primarily by new publishers
·    US ad requests grew 18.7 per cent in June to 1.7 billion
·    UK ad requests grew 16.3 per cent  in June to 228 million. The Nokia N95 posted another strong share gain and now only slightly trails the SonyEricsson K800i for the top spot
·    Motorola lost share in each of the top five markets in June, leading to a 2.2 per cent monthly decline in share worldwide.
·    Palm continued its growth and now represents two per cent of requests worldwide.
