Aiming to consolidate its Asia Pacific market penetration.

Admob's growth over the last few years has been remarkable: it now serves 10.5 billion ads a month. But it needs to keep growing and Asia-Pac is an obvious place to do it.

India and Indonesia are AdMob's largest markets today, outside the US, with a combined total of more than one billion requests in September 2009. AdMob has also seen iPhone usage explode in advanced markets such as Australia, Singapore, and Hong Kong.

In Australia alone, AdMob receives more than 100 million ad requests per month on the iPhone and reaches more than one million unique users.

Jeff Merkel, Admob's MD of Asia Pacific and Latin America, said: "By opening an office in Singapore, AdMob will be able to work closely with customers throughout the region to break down the barriers to doing business on mobile."

AdMob's localises sites in English, Bahasa or Chinese and offers detailed targeting options, scalable ad units and self-serve capabilities.
