Festive gaming and apps usage shoots through the roof.
More evidence that this Christmas was a biggie for iPhone apps comes from stats released by AdMob and Aurora Feint.
According to AdMob, ad requests on its network from iPod touches increased by 96% on Boxing Day compared to the average of the week before - with a 57% increase in the number of iPod touches used to make those requests.
That means "several million new iPod touch owners around the world this Christmas", with the UK reporting the sharpest increase.
Meanwhile, iPhone social gaming firm Aurora Feint says its OpenFeint community saw five times more activity and three times more game sales between Christmas Eve and Boxing Day.
11 million high scores and two million achievements were submitted over the Christmas period, with OpenFeint now having signed up seven million users across more than 650 games.
