Adfonic opens Asia Pac hub

New Singapore base to be led by ex Velti exec Kartik Ram.

Last September UK-based ad network Adfonic bagged $7.5m in new funds to support overseas growth.

It had already opened offices in Paris and New York and followed up with a unit in Madrid which also serves Latin America. It plans to launch operations in Germany and Italy during early 2012.

According to Gartner, Asia-Pacific is currently the leading market in mobile ddvertising with revenues expected to grow to $6.9 billion by 2015.

Kartik Ram will be general manager for the region. He arrives from Velti, where he established an Indian operation.
