Acer reveals more smartphones

Entry-level Windows Mobile devices to sell for under 50 euros.

Acer has used the CeBIT trade show to give a sneak preview of its second set of smartphones, with some models expected to be priced at no more than €49.

According to the Register the new range, which is still under codename, will come with a camera and GPS as standard, and run with Microsoft’s Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system.

The top end F1 has been described as a ‘very slick high end device’ by the head of Acer’s Smart Handheld Business Group, Aymer de Lencquesaing.

Acer unveiled its Tempo range of smartphones at Mobile World Congress in February.
