Aardman Rights makes its debut

Wallace & Gromit creator restructures marketing, licensing and TV distribution departments into one division.

Aardman has this morning revealed a new division which encompasses its marketing, licensing and international TV distribution departments - Aardman Rights.

The new arm has been set up to market and sell Aardman content across all media and it will seek to expand its IP portfolio by representing third party properties.

To date Aardman has dipped its feet in mobile by making short video clips available through the likes of 3 and Orange, and a content distribution deal with Player X. No doubt the new division wil enable it to ramp mobile activity.

Aardman's brands include Wallace and Gromit, Chicken Run, Creature Comforts, Morph and Angry Kid.
