Research by Futuresource Consulting revealed that consumers aged 18 to 34 are more likely than any other age group to be capturing images with a camera phone.
Well, that's a surprise.
It says around 80 per cent of respondents across both the UK and US now sharing some or all of their photos with family and friends.
The primary method of sharing is directly from the camera, with 38 per cent of UK and and 35 per cent of US consumers respectively choosing this option.
26 per cent (UK) and 34 per cent (USA) are sharing via email. A smaller number share by sideloading.

Around six in ten of respondents then store, share and print their images, mostly on Facebook and then and Snapfish.
Unsurprisingly, the least active group is the over 55, although in the US over 30 per cent of this demographic use Snapfish.
Futuresource believes there are plenty of revenue possibilities associated with the fact that more than 100 billion photos stored using these online services – and that 75 per cent of respondents who have previously purchased photobooks indicate that additional purchases are likely within the next 12 months.
