So says its developer DevelopIQ, anyway.
7digital's Music Store app walked away with a $100,000 prize at this week's BlackBerry Developer Conference, which was a resounding endorsement of the app's quality.
Now it seems operators could benefit too. According to James Shannon, CTO of its developer DevelopIQ, the app may be reskinned for individual brands and operators.
"If carriers and brands want to bring their brand to BlackBerry – if carriers want to have a music store with carrier billing – we want to make it very easy to do that," he said in a session at the conference.
"We don’t want you to build music stores on your own, but instead take 7digital and put your brand on it. There’s a clear B2B strategy that wll see 7digital coming out with other brands on it, powered by 7digital."
Shannon also said that the app is designed to make it easy for other BlackBerry music apps to connect to it - for example, allowing streaming music and internet radio apps to give users a 'Buy' option which clicks through to the 7digital store.
