75% of mobile bugs could be squashed by pre-launch testing

So says pre-launch testing firm Mobile Distillery.

Three quarters of the bugs found in mobile apps and websites are down to a lack of testing before launch, claims Mobile Distillery.

The company runs a centre for mobile app and website testing, of course, so you might expect it to say that.

"We believe that 75% of mobile app and mobile web bugs and errors could be avoided if they were tested before being launched," says CEO Jean-Philippe Bechade.

"Based on our experience with many companies and developers creating and offering mobile apps across a wide range of handsets, unfortunately all too often these apps aren't tested in advance."

Mobile Distillery is offering a special deal to potential customers to test their apps or sites on five phones for free, if they make a minimum order for testing on 15 devices.
