Checking maps, learning to spell, engaging with other humans.
Research released today by cloud-based back up company Mozy has revealed the ways in which technology is changing people's shopping and leisure habits.
it found a quarter of Brits confess to no longer buying CDs or owning a collection, whilst over 50 per cent no longer record favourite TV shows on VHS.
One quarter no longer compile photo albums, spending an average of 1.57 hours a week uploading photos instead.
Claire Galbois-Alcaix, speaking for Mozy, said: “Whist it is sometimes sad that certain traditional behaviours feature less and less in our everyday lives, this shift towards a dependence on technology is making life considerably easier. The advances in technology today bring us greater flexibility than ever – people can do things when and where it suits them best.”
