Nearly one million user remixes have been uploaded, too.
Mobile agency Moderati has announced that its vitaminwater Sound Lab iPhone app has been downloaded more than 250,000 times in its first two weeks on the App Store.
The app features rapper 50 Cent, and lets users remix his new single and share their versions on the app's online community site.
Moderati says that in that first fortnight, nearly one million remixes were uploaded to the site, while the app spurred more than 64,000 downloads of Fiddy's Baby By Me single.
"We are very excited about the success of 50's Sound Lab," says Rohan Oza, chief marketing officer at Coca-Cola's active lifestyle brands division, which makes the vitaminwater drink that sponsored the app.
"Clearly people's passion for vitaminwater and for 50's music were the perfect combination to take this app to number one."

Without wishing to be rude, we'd suggest that it's the latter which elicited the passion. The app is based on Moderati's Romplr remix platform.
