Softonic offers over 160,000 PC, Mac and mobile products to 100 million unique users a month in Europe and Latin America.
At the end of 2007, the company was processing 1 million downloads a day, so this is impressive growth.
The firm says Opera Mini, Adobe Flash Lite and Facebook top its mobile downloads, while VLC Media Player, Format Factory and Skype drive the most desktop activity.
Softonic makes a big noise about its security features, saying every application it offers is analysed by more than 30 different antivirus programs before it reaches the user.
The firm recently launched an iOS and Android app castled Moba as a guide to the best apps out there.
