Yuza Mobile and Newstate Entertainment have teamed up to form a new mobile social gaming company - 3ME - focused on the music industry.
3ME plans to launch social games across several mobile platforms for music industry clients, and claims it will soon announce its first label and handset partners.
Yuza and Newstate have previously worked together on apps for EMI's NOW compilations and DJ Paul Van Dyk.
"Social gaming set to play a very important part in the future of music and entertainment so we believe this is a fantastic opportunity to cement our already fruitful relationship with the team at Yuza Mobile," says Newstate CEO Tom Parkinson.
"Our first announcements from the 3ME joint venture will be very soon and we will be working with some extremely exciting brands and partners from the start."

Social music games are already popular on iPhone - witness the success of Tap Tap Revenge. Meanwhile, labels like Universal Music Group have launched their own iPhone games.
"Jointly we have created a range of innovative and successful music game formats into the app store - and with 3ME we will be doing even more," says Yuza's CEO Richard Skaife.
