Reports suggest the much-rumoured tie-up is a done deal.
The speculation says 3UK will offer the music streaming service pre-loaded on a HTC Hero followed by three further handsets this Christmas.
There's no news on how much it will cost, although it may be less than the £10 a premium service costs on a PC or via iPhone or Android apps.
The move is an obvious one for Spotify, which has talked freely about exploring different business models - although this does place it in competition with potential partners such as handset companies.
