Mobile social network Peperoni has 3.5 million individual users.
The German company has pioneered the mobile UGC sector since 2001. It provides a mobile-only site building toolkit to help everybody get a presence on mobile. It’s the largest publisher destination for ads on the ad marketplace AdMob. Peperoni also recently added video, so that its users can publish their mobile videos directly to their sites.
Marcus Ladwig, COO at Peperoni, said: "Within no time, this market has become the most important of all for us as US customers seem to be very receptive for mobile offerings and click rates for advertising are high. We used to see much usage coming from emerging markets where mobile services are people's only means to obtain information and now the message spreads to the web-centric world too which is just great!"
