$25bn mobile apps market by 2015 claims MarketsandMarkets

Expects Apple to take a 20.5% share of those revenues as off-deck distribution surges.

Research firm MarketsandMarkets is the latest company to publish big-number predictions for the mobile apps market.

It claims that global revenues from apps will top $25 billion in 2015, up from $6.8 billion in 2010.

The company also expects Apple's App Store to take a 20.5% share of those 2015 revenues.

We're slightly puzzled about MarketsandMarkets' segmentation of revenues between on-deck and off-deck app stores - does the App Store count as on or off-deck?

However, the report also breaks revenues out by region, claiming that Europe will become the biggest apps market in terms of revenues by 2015, accounting for $8.4 billion.
