Sony reveals some stats at GamesCom as PSP push continues
More than a million downloadable Mini games have been sold for Sony's PSP handheld, according to figures released by the firm at GamesCom yesterday.
The PSP, which is currently being pitched against the iPhone in a US ad campaign, has shifted 10 million hardware units in the last year and has a global installed base of 60 million.
Clearly the Minis download figure is a drop in the ocean compared to the number of games Apple has shifted via the App Store, but Sony clearly thinks the PSP has what it takes to match the iPhone when it comes to game quality.
