And the social gaming platform served over 100m game sessions in 2010
The numbers will be highly gratifying for Scoreloop, which was one of the original pioneers of a concept that helps developers and publishers monetise their apps through the freemium model.
For a while it looked as if Scoreloop might have had its lunch eaten by Apple, when the latter launched its own Game Center.
That doesn't appear to have happened.
Scoreloop's 100m game sessions in 2010 refers to the number of times a gamer has actively used the social connectivity features of a Scoreloop-enabled game.
Also in the past 12 months, more than 350m high scores have been uploaded by gamers using a Scoreloop-enabled game – that’s over 11 scores every second.

Scoreloop provides developers with the tools to connect users, increase engagement and then monetise this additional usage.
This can include decorative themes that change the look of a game to virtual goods that affect a user’s progress in a game, both of which can be shared between friends.
The SDK is fully white-label and customisable for direct integration into a game’s existing UI.
“One million new users a week is a magic number for Scoreloop, and it’s proof that users are actively taking advantage of the social element that we’re enabling thousands of developers to creatively integrate into their mobile games,” said Marc Gumpinger, CEO of Scoreloop.
