UK broadcaster passes milestone eight months after release
Pocket-lint reports that the free Sky News iPhone app has been downloaded more than a million times since its release last May.
The app, which allows users to see the latest text and video headlines, as well as comment on and submit stories, is one of the six currently offered by Sky.
The others comprise Sky Mobile TV News and Sports, Sky Sports Live Football Score Centre. Sky+, Sky SPorts Live Cricket Score Centre and Sky Showbiz.
Sky has also just launched a new dedicated mobile website at m.skynews.com to cater for non-iPhone users.
