UK launch at flagship Regent Street store draws in a hardcore crowd.
NokNok reports that up to 150 people queued up outside the Nokia store on Regent Street this morning to get their hands on the new 5800 XpressMusic handset.Word had clearly got round about the goodies Nokia was offering to the first first 200 people to buy the device.
This included exclusive content and tickets to the Benicassim music festival in Spain.
Josh Smith, a student from North London, told NokNok: “I’ve been queueing since 4.30 but I lost my place in queue because I had to go and do my maths homework.”
When asked why he wanted a 5800 he replied: “The touchscreen is great, the battery life is great, plus it’s got bass on the music.”

Nokia no doubt hopes there are a lot more people out there who feel the same way following its poor Q4 financials.
