Google reveals the stat as it launches mobile-focused channel on YouTube.
A quarter of all searches carried out on Android smartphones in the US are voice searches, according to Google.
"One in every four searches from an Android phone in the US is by voice," blogs Google Mobile product marketer Heaven Kim.
"In certain situations, voice search just works much better than typing."
Google's has launched a new YouTube channel, with a bunch of videos showing suggested uses for mobile voice search.
