Drinks are on Infospace

The first ME Awards night has received a significant boost with the announcement of Infospace as a major sponsor.
The content publisher has linked up with Mobile Entertainment magazine to host a drinks reception at the event, which takes place on September 19th at the Kensington Royal Garden Hotel. This will help nervous nominees among over 350 guests from across the industry calm their nerves by quaffing slightly too much Champagne.
Alan Welsman, Infospace’s VP of European product management and marketing, said: “We are delighted to be part of the ME Awards event. It is not only a chance to recognise the achievements in our business over the last year, but also to sit and have a drink and a chat with friends and colleagues from this exciting mobile content community.”
The ME Awards will recognise excellence in 20 categories in three areas: Development & Publishing, Services & Hardware and Operators.
Reflecting the content of this very magazine, they will be the mobile entertainment industry’s first dedicated awards evening and support from companies across the sector has been phenomenal.
Nominations have flooded in, the best tables are being snapped up and the biggest brands in the business, such as Infospace, are keen to play a part in the event.
