I-play confirms new CEO

David Gosen has been confirmed as I-play's new CEO, having guided the mobile game publisher into a position of operational profitability.

Gosen joined I-play as COO in 2004, before which he held the post of managing director at Nintendo Europe. He has been I-play's acting CEO since the departure of incumbent Brian Greasley last year.

In his time as COO, Gosen drove the company’s sales and publishing operations, overseeing the launch of the 'I-play' consumer brand and ‘one thumb’ gaming titles.

I-play chairman Richard Eyre said: “David has made an enormously impressive impact on the company’s operations since he joined us in 2004.

After a thorough review, the board is pleased to confirm that David has its full backing to lead the company to its next level of growth."

Speaking of his new role, Gosen added: “I am very pleased to be given the opportunity as CEO to provide continued leadership for I-play’s exciting future. The mobile entertainment industry is simply the most dynamic and inspirational industry to be working in today."
