EA's Pogo bounces onto O2 i-mode

Electronic Arts has chosen O2 UK's i-mode platform for the European mobile debut of its Pogo.com casual games channel.
The first three of EA’s Pogo Mobile games, Poppit!, Tri Peaks Solitaire and Turbo 21, are available to O2 i-mode users immediately on a subscription basis.
The move is part of EA's ongoing to strategy to bring its casual gaming brand to Europe - in the US, the Pogo.com and Club Pogo services attract an average of 14 million Internet users a month.
John Burns, marketing and sales director for EA Mobile, said: “As we continue to accelerate in the mobile gaming space, having an exciting casual games offering for consumers is another step in our strategy to engage more consumers in pick-up-and-play, on the go gaming experiences."
EA will bringing more of its Pogo.com games to the O2 i-mode platform in the coming months.
