Kiloo certainly has something to build on – the Danish games developer has won the rights to create mobile products based on the Lego brand.
It has signed a global deal (excluding Japan) with Giant Entertainment for exclusive three-year rights for Lego games and three years non-exclusive rights for wallpapers and themes. Kiloo aims to have two games – based on soccer and racing respectively – plus themes and wallpapers available by the end of 2005.
Kiloo has big plans for Lego. The company has already sold more than a million games based on the Hugo character, but believes the power of the Lego licence will open new operator doors – especially in the US.
Jacob Møller, CEO of Kiloo, said: “Hugo is not a huge licence, not like Lego. We’ll put out up to nine games in the next three years and I’m sure it will break us into new markets.”
