Telegent’s analog mobile TV receiver is shipping in Samsung’s Star TV S5233T handset, which was recently launched in Southeast Asia.

The device integrates analog mobile TV with graphical touchscreen controls, including the ability to flick the screen to change channels, one-click screen capture and record, on-screen keypad channel entry and reception of incoming SMS messages with continuous TV viewing.

Historically, Telegent has focussed its mobile TV solutions on emerging markets - in February it teamed with Brightstar to launch a Football TV phone (Avivo 505) in Latin American and African markets in time for the World Cup.
