300,000 sales means it's a bonanza for PopCap Games
PopCap Games has announced that its new iPhone game Plants vs. Zombies has grossed more than $1 million in revenues in just nine days on the App Store.
The game - a conversion of the company's existing PC title of the same name - has sold more than 300,000 downloads at $2.99 a pop since launching last week.
It has also spent much of the last week topping both the Paid Apps and Top Grossing charts on the App Store.
"There's always a concern when bringing a computer game to a mobile, pocket-sized device that something will get lost in the process, but in this case the overwhelming consensus is that Plants vs. Zombies is even more fun on the smaller touch screen," says PopCap's director of mobile business development Andrew Stein.
It's not the only iPhone game making a packet for PopCap either. The company says its Bejeweled 2 game has sold three million downloads on the App Store.
