The iPhone now makes up 38.2 per cent of ad requests in AdMob’s network in the UK
Combined with the iPod Touch, Apple devices accounted for a huge 57 per cent of UK requests in September 2009, according to AdMob.
The company released the stats to mark the second anniversary of iPhone's launch in the UK.
In November 2008, the iPhone made up just 6.6 per cent of AdMob’s UK traffic - combined with iPod Touch the figure was just 8.4 per cent.
Russell Buckley, VP Global Alliances at AdMob, said: "The iPhone has almost single-handedly created a market for mobile applications and, to date, more than two billion have been downloaded from the App Store alone.
"The iPhone has paved the way for the creation of innovative new ad formats, and other handsets are now striving to reach the bar that Apple has set, benefiting advertisers and consumers alike."
