Motorola Droid specs leak... on Motorola's own site

D'oh!

As we reported yesterday, next week will see the official unveiling of Motorola's new Droid handset, which is set to get a big push in the US from Verizon Wireless.

This week has seen a teaser campaign that's taken great pains to keep the device's look and full features secret, ready for the big reveal on 28th October.

So it's a shame someone pressed the wrong button on Motorola's website to publish the Droid micro-site a week early...

Mobile industry sites like Unwired View were all over the leak, gleefully revealing that the handset boasts a 550MHz CPU, 3.7-inch WVGA-resolution touchscreen, Wi-Fi, stereo Bluetooth, accelerometer and GPS.

That's besides the details already gleaned from Verizon's teaser ads - a five-megapixel camera and physicla QWERTY keyboard.

However, one intriguing detail is that Motorola's MOTOBLUR UI isn't mentioned at all on the micro-site. Unwired View speculates that it won't be included in the device at the request of Verizon.
