Trapped girls snap into survival mode and update status
According to ABC News, the 10 and 12 year olds were lost in a stormwater drain in Adelaide, Australia.
They chose to alert the world to their peril with by updating their Facebook status instead of calling emergency services.
An online friend then raised the alarm.
