RIM has launched a teaser website for an exclusive BlackBerry app from U2, tying in with the band's current world tour
It's called 'The U2 Mobile Album', and promises to let fans "experience the tour from all angles" and "show the world what the music means to you".
It's not a studio album of new material, obviously. Instead, it's an application that lets fans listen to U2's latest album No Line On The Horizon, watch videos, read U2 news and share photos with friends.
It also hints at location-based features around the gigs themselves. Fans can sign up on the website to be notified when the app is released.
RIM is sponsoring U2's 360 Tour, which kicked off last week in Europe.
The spin-off app will build on the company's existing partnership with Black Eyed Peas frontman Will.I.Am, who launched his own BlackBerry app Dipdive earlier this year.
