Star Defense and Topple 2 get updated in line with yesterday’s firmware upgrade
iPhone developer Ngmoco has updated two of its leading titles to make the most of a number of behind-the-scenes tech enhancements that were offered to iPhone users last night through Apple’s hyped 3.0 firmware upgrade.
Ngmoco’s much-touted Plus+ iPhone games network, dubbed by many as the platform’s answer to Microsoft’s Xbox Live, has been introduced to tower defence title Star Defense, allowing gamers to track their progress, challenge other players and receive challenges when not in-game via Apple’s new Push Notification system.
In addition, colourful puzzle title Topple 2 has also had a 3.0 revamp by adding the ability for users to import iTunes playlists.
“Ngmoco is excited by the new opportunities for gameplay afforded by iPhone OS 3.0,” Ngmoco CEO and founder Neil Young stated.
“Direct Challenges via Push Notification Service provide a compelling, new way for Star Defense fans to stay connected anytime, anywhere.”
