Mobile content streaming specialist passes paid users landmark and eyes increased profitability this year
mSpot, which offers a range of streaming audio and video services through the likes of AT&T and Sprint, has amassed 6 million paid subscribers - up 150 per cent from July 2008.
The company says it's on track for a new high in revenue and profitability for 2009.
Among the other performance landmarks for the last 12 months are 1 million Make-UR-Tones app downloads and 3.5 million Movies on Demand users.
mSpot has also stuck mobile radio deals with AT&T, Verizon (Alltel network) and Bell Mobility, adding to pre-existing radio partnerships with Sprint Nextel, Telus and US Cellular.
mSpot CEO Daren Tsui said: “Our product roadmap is filled with innovations for the next 12 months and we expect our growth to continue even as the economy remains weak.”
