Velti acquires Ad Infuse

Greek mobile marketing giant flexes its muscles with eye-catching purchase

Velti says it will immediately integrate Ad Infuse’s management team, technology platform and customer base into its global operations.

“Velti is pioneering the way that mobile impacts upon the worlds of advertising and marketing,” said Alex Moukas, CEO of Velti. ”This transaction provides us with a proven management team; a strong client base and proven technology that will help us further accelerate our global growth.”

Over the last year, Velti has raised its profile considerably, creating marketing campaigns for major brands like Coca Cola, MTV and Disney. It now plans to integrate Ad Infuse’s personalisation and ad routing/serving technology within its own Mobile Marketing Platform (MMP).

This will give advertising agencies an end-to-end solution for mobile media planning, campaign management, optimisation, execution, analytics and hosting of mobile advertising and marketing campaigns.

The integrated company will comprise over 400 people across its operations in the US, Europe, China, India and Middle East. Velti has operations in 35 countries. It recently announced 2008 revenue up 164 per cent on 2007, with an EBITDA of $17 million.
