The BBC is carrying a short interview with Malcolm Barclay, who says his Tube Deluxe app has been such a success that it's enabled him to focus full time on creating iPhone content.

It's yet more proof that one-man outfits (Barclay works from his kitchen) are able to make their market on Apple's mobile marketplace.

However, Barclay says that while a basic iPhone app could be knocked up in a single weekend, a programme like Tube Deluxe (an enhanced map of London's Underground) requires several of months build time.
