Mobile TV provider enlists Nielsen and Rentrak to deliver audience demographics to advertisers
MobiTV is using the NAB trade show in Vegas this week to showcase its platform as a means of delivering new data collection applications for the broadcast community.
The company says it will be able to show broadcasters a more complete and accurate picture of their viewing audience, opening up new, highly targeted opportunities for advertisers.
To that end it has teamed with Nielsen and Rentrak, who will be plugging their measurement solutions into its back-end to pull out all sorts of viewer information.
Cedric Fernandes, Vice President of Technology at MobiTV, said: “In the past, traditional television audience measurement was accomplished through statistical analysis only. This solution offers broadcasters and advertisers the ‘brass-ring’ to allow for highly targeted shows with highly targeted advertisements.”
