China Mobile chairman Wang Jianzhou has said his company is still growing despite the recession and is even on the lookout for acquisitions.

Speaking to Reuters at today's meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Jianzhou said the company had already signed up several million new subs this year.

The company is also on track to have 3G operational in all of China's major cities by 2011.

Jianzhou said: "Although [in] recession, I can tell you even in this year we still have growth... We are looking for new opportunities for new acquisitions."
