Beta version of RipCode-powered streaming service being rolled out globally.

MySpace has launched a beta version of a streaming mobile video service, available from its m.myspace.com wireless portal.

Among the available content will be all user-gen video uploaded to the community by users, in addition to branded clips from the likes of TMZ, National Hockey League, National Geographic, The Onion and College Humor.

MySpace says that RipCode's transcoding technology means it can repurpose almost any online video content for mobile without have to maintain a separate mobile library.

The company says its mobile site receives three billion page views per month and has ten million monthly unique users.

Last month MySpace said its BlackBerry app has been downloaded 400,000 times in its first week of availability.

John Faith, VP and general manager of mobile for MySpace, said: "Video is a natural next step for us in mobile. MySpace will continue to grow our video library as we increase delivery channels in order to keep pace with our users’ accelerating desire for video consumption.”

Will this work on iPhone via TV Out? This will be great for use with my Vuzix iWear goggles!
How do I get onto this?
