Vidzone agrees YouTube pact

The UK mobile and online distributor Vidzone will upload 4,000 of its videos to YouTube

The content, from a library of independent record labels, will be uploaded or tagged by VidZone to create new revenue streams for partners. VidZone will administer record label reporting, encoding, promotion and channel-building through YouTube’s content management system.

“This broad co-operation with YouTube is highly significant as it offers all Independent record labels the opportunity to monetise their music videos via the largest and most popular online video community. Artists such as Madness, Fatboy Boy Slim, Guru Josh Project and Armand Van Helden will soon be making their entire music video catalogues available via YouTube” said Adrian Workman, CEO of VidZone Digital Media.
